Description: ISMC is proud to present Damon Tighe, a nationally renown master nature photographer from the Bay Area. Insect Photography Clinic is an intermediate level workshop that will help to increase your skills in insect photography with DSLR and point-and-shoot cameras. In this workshop Tighe will share tips, tricks and techniques for macrophotography problems as increasing depth of view, optimizing lighting on small subjects and increasing subject clarity for small subjects. ISMC's goal is that bioblitzers and other citizen scientists are better prepared to take quality photographs of subjects in the field that have value for the communities we all serve and for publications. The workshop's first hour will be spent critiquing photographs that you and other submit beforehand. (See the note about uploading photographs). The second hour we will go to the field to photograph with help from Tighe. The last half hour we will be a debrief.
